Luminia
videoarte, IA (2024)
“Luminia” emerges as a visual poem, a space where the human and the artificial dance together to explore the rebirth of a new world rising from the ashes. The work immerses the viewer in a post-apocalyptic landscape where women, protagonists of this tale, embark on a journey of transformation. In a world where humanity once lost itself in its own excesses, technology now appears as a force that contributes to renewal—not as a replacement for the human, but as its extension.
The narrative unfolds in six sequences, each linked to the symbolism of a goddess embodying different facets of feminine power: from Thetis, Titaness of the waters, symbol of origin and gestation, to Eos, goddess of the dawn, illuminating the possibility of a renewed future. Along the way, Anahita brings fertility and regeneration; Artemis embodies independence and connection with the untamed; Gaia reflects union with the earth; and Hecate guards mystery and collective strength.
Artificial intelligence was used as a tool to generate the images and the voice-over that shape the piece. Its glitches and artifacts appear as elements that enrich the aesthetic and highlight the necessary bond between the technological and the human, becoming a vehicle for exploring new narratives and creative possibilities.
